Road Trip Scavenger Hunt
Have you been on a road trip lately? How about a scavenger hunt? Better yet, have you tried doing a scavenger hunt while on a road trip? This is something I would love to try with my family. It sounds like a lot of fun. How does it work exactly?
When I was searching for ideas, I was surprised at how many of them are out there for this type of family-fun activity. One that caught my attention is pretty simple. I actually found a road trip scavenger hunt printable over at //www.freekidscrafts.com/printable-road-trip-scavenger-hunt/. If you want to keep your kids hands and eyes off of all things technology, this will do the trick.
The scavenger hunt printable is actually a printable game board so you will need white paper, a printer, and pens and pencils like it says within the activity. I love this game board as it has symbols, restaurants, signs, and more. The activity can be done without actually stopping. Just give your child some sort of utensil to mark the places they see along the road and have them mark it. The winner can pick a place you would like to stop and eat or come up with whatever prize you wish. Â
I would love to try other scavenger hunts that require you getting out of the car and going in places to find clues. We came across a group of people on a recent road trip and it looked like fun. I am sure this idea takes more time and planning.
