Back to School Car Ready

Now that all the kiddies are back to school, the family car is on the verge of being filled with more clutter.  It's easy for homework, fliers, school supplies, etc., to be strewn all throughout the car which can become stressful and chaotic.

"Where's my homework, it was in the car?"

 "I lost my pencils!"

"The permission slip was in the car, but I can't find it!"

Have you heard these questions and statements?  I most definitely have and decided to create a system.  Realistically, the rule for all school related papers and objects must stay inside the backpack at all times, but with busy schedules things can happen.

Equip your vehicle with 2 folders: One labeled Homework and the other one labeled handouts. Stick those in the seat pouches.  Have a pencil bag or pencil box handy and keep in the console.  Why do this? In case you are not headed home after school due to extra curricular activities. You can put them in there ASAP.  There's no worry of them becoming misplaced, torn, dirty, lost, etc.  It's actually a great system, especially since some of the stuff probably will not stay inside your child's backpack for long. It's definitely worth being prepared.
