* If you're looking for something akin to a Ford Escape or Honda CR-V, but you don't like futuristic styling or 4-cylinder powertrains, the GMC Terrain for 2013 may very well be the answer. Its squared-off edges and flared wheel openings say "GMC Truck" loud and clear. Source: KBB.com
* Premium look inside and out; quiet cabin with lots of storage bins; spacious and adjustable backseat; comfortable highway ride. Source: Edmunds

Burns oil like oil rig after an explosion. Had the oil consumption test completed at local dealership and after it was all said and done over the specified time frame of testing, was told it is within the limits allowed by the manufacturer for its oil consumption. The AC had to be replaced last year. Then as of this weekend, the check engine light came on and the code was for rapid misfire Idle was awful, display showed service stability traction and Engine Power is Reduced. It wouldnt run over 20 mph and nothing over 8 mph going uphill. Also believe the catalytic converter needs to be replaced. With everything we have dealt with since having this vehicle, knowing what I know now, I would have purchased a different vehicle. Never again once I can get rid of it. Thankfully my husband husband was a mechanic for many years prior to his career change and has been able to fix everything that has been wrong and Ive been able to save money in repairs due to that, but thats beside the point. Do not buy this vehicle if you can help it.

We have owned the 2012 GMC Terrain for 2 years. We purchased CPO off of a three year lease with only 9,000 miles. It is the LS (base model), which comes nicely equipped. We wanted a nice SUV for vacations and carrying our bikes. It has more than met our expectations. Nice looking, not overly flashy, but nicely equipped for a base model. We have had no problems and it has decent fuel efficiency. Its a bit sluggish from 0 to 40, but fine on highways. It was a very good buy for 19,000 dollars and has been a great vehicle for us.

I bought my 2017 Terrain V6, used, to save a few thousand bucks. I opted for the V6 engine because I have had 4 cylinder compact SUVs and the additional couple MPG you get isn’t worth giving up the huge difference in performance. Don’t buy the 4 cylinder base engine you will regret it. I prefer less chrome so I chose the SLE-2 with body color mirrors and door handles. The ride is smooth and driver seat is very customizable with lumbar support for long rides. Rides smooth and quiet even on freeways. Interior is above average to say the least. People say there is a lot of blind spots and blockage, I don’t feel that way, but i guess you can say that about every vehicle if you choose not to move your head at all. There is also a lot of gripe about the MPG (I get around 18mpg and I have a heavy foot) on the V6 but I feel that it’s great given its an SUV with over 300hp. I spent less than $20k on this vehicle but it looks and feels like a mid $30k’s suv. Couldn’t be happier with the safety and features for me and my son, Remote Start changed my life here in the desert heat!
